New Please Read! The Rubber Baby Buggy Bumpers can be slightly difficult to install because they are designed for a very snug fit. (so they won't fall out once installed) Be VERY careful not to break off the rubber retainer (tip) during installation. Use a small blunt tool, such as the tail end of a small rat tail file to push the retainer (tip) through the hole. Do not cut the top of the bumpers off (read below) You will find that the trunk will close a little harder for a few weeks. What we recommend is the following method of closing and opening the trunk lid (even if you don't have the bumpers): Stand behind the motorcycle, lower the trunk lid and let it rest on the bumper. Place both hands on the passenger backrest, and with a quick tug (toward you) the trunk will latch. Please note, this puts less stress on your trunk hinges and trunk body. For opening the trunk: Put one hand on the passenger backrest and just slightly pull the backrest toward you as you release the trunk latch with your other hand. This will make it easier to open. After a couple of weeks, you should notice it being a little easier to open and close as bumpers settle in. Cold Weather Cold weather will effect the stiffness of the rubber bumpers and you may experience the hard closing again. These bumpers were designed for best operations between 35° to 110° Prices shown are in US dollars and do not include any applicable sales tax. Prices are subject to change without notice.
